Samaritan health Mobile Clinic

Bringing high-quality care to your neighborhood—one stop at a time. Samaritan Health Clinic of Pickens County will launch a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) in partnership with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM)-Carolinas. The clinic-on-wheels delivers primary care, preventive screenings, routine immunizations and health-education services directly to uninsured, low-income residents—removing transportation barriers and extending God’s love throughout Pickens County.

Partnership at a Glance

Samaritan Health Clinic & VCOM

  • Shared Mission: Both organizations focus on rural and medically underserved populations, aligning perfectly to reach neighbors who might otherwise go without care.

  • Hands-On Medical Training: VCOM’s medical students and faculty volunteer aboard the MMU, gaining real-world experience while expanding our capacity to serve.

  • Community Support: The effort is backed by local health partners in the upstate.
